Plants Can Talk - Week 1

 Hello Everyone!

I had planned on continuing my research from last semester, on Plant- Fungi relationships. However, Josh gave me an opportunity to work with him on an experiment he has begun. The aim of this research is to test what sounds plants emit and how it effects other organisms. We are looking to see if the sounds relay information. In other words, do plants talk? 

This experiment requires specific microphones. We will listen to emission sounds under certain stresses. 

I am greatly looking forward to this research because plan communication could powerful impact so many fields of study. For example, horticulture, irrigation, economics, ecology, ect...
